Le mardi 18 novembre, le Club Rotaract de Pointe-à-Pitre a eu l’honneur de faire une remise de dons à l’association Madréprore 97, qui lutte contre la drépanocytose.

Durant l’année 2013-2014, le Club Rotaract de Pointe-à-Pitre avait pour objectif d’aider à la lutte contre la drépanocytose. Ainsi, bon nombre de ses actions allaient en faveur de cette noble cause, qui touche encore trop la population guadeloupéenne.

 En juin dernier, lors de son gala de fin d’année, le Club a organisé une levée de fond, qui lui a permis de réunir la somme de 3000,00€, aujourd’hui, reversée à l’association Madrépore 97. Ce don servira à acheter du matériel adapté au suivi des personnes drépanocytaires et à organiser un arbre de Noël pour les enfants.

Notre choix s’est porté sur Madrepore 97, car cette association créée par des professionnels de santé, a pour objectifs :

• Organiser des actions et des formations professionnelles permettant une meilleure connaissance de la drépanocytose en Guadeloupe.
• Accompagner les projets et activités de l'unité transversale de drépanocytose du CHU de Pointe-à-Pitre pour la prise en charge et l'éducation des patients à leur maladie.
• Améliorer l'accueil des patients et de leurs familles en collaboration avec les associations de patients.

 Nous sommes fiers de soutenir une association telle que Madrépore 97 !

On Tuesday, November 18th, the Rotaract Club of Pointe-à-Pitre had the honor to do a donation for the association Madréprore 97, which fights against the drepanocytose disease.

During the year 2013-2014, the Rotaract club of Pointe-à-Pitre had for objective to help in the fight against the drepanocytose. So, a lot of its actions went in favour of this noble cause, which affects still too much Guadeloupe population.

Last June, during its reception of the end of year, the Club organized a collect which had a big success, because they collected 3000,00€.Today, this sum put back to the association Madrepore 97. This donatio will serve to buy of the equipment adapted to the follow-up of the drepanocytic people and to organize a Christmas tree for the children.

Our choice was Madrepore 97, because this association created by healthcare professionals, has for objectives:

• Organize actions and trainings allowing a better knowledge of the drepanocythose in Guadeloupe.
• Accompany the projects and the activities of the differents drepanocythose’s unities of the CHU of Pointe-à-Pitre for the coverage and the education of the patients in their disease.
• Improve the reception of the patients and their families in collaboration with patient’s associations.
