Created in 1968 by Rotary International, the Rotaract (contraction of the terms ROTARy and ACTion) is a club service open to young people from 18 to 30 years old. Sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Guadeloupe, since its creation in 1997, the Rotaract Club of Pointe-à-Pitre has been part of District 7030, which brings together all the clubs in the Caribbean from Saint Kitts and Nevis, to the Guyanas.

Our club aims to offer young people a dynamic environment in which they can develop their professional skills while serving the community. Thus, the involvement of each member is essential to its proper functioning. Values such as friendship, caring and camaraderie are promoted.

Our members and supporters mobilize each year

  • for the professional development of young people in Guadeloupe, with the organization of conferences and workshops for members and the entire community
  • for health, through charity or awareness campaigns. In previous years, these were related to predominant diseases or disorders in Guadeloupe, such as autism, sickle cell anemia, « dys » disorders.

We regularly work with our correspondents from neighboring islands and do not hesitate to cross the borders of our Caribbean District to develop international relations and create a better world.

We meet at least twice a month (generally on the first and third Tuesday at 6:30 pm) at statutory meetings during which we take stock of the situation of the club and discuss the actions in progress.

What if you, too, were a "Rotaractor" without knowing it? Don't hesitate to contact us if you want further information.
